hi! most of the needed plants are in the ground. i now need to build rope swings, benches, and a kiosk for the 8th and Jefferson neighborhood and bus stop. want to help? i'm interested in trading my project experience, plant knowledge, and permaculture design skills for help building this intersection repair project. i can do it by myself, but it probably would be fun to meet people and grow our community by sharing projects. project needs include a few 2' bench seats, round 3" caliper poles or branches, sturdy rope, paint and brushes (i already have some of all of these things), and wood plus a window for a simple kiosk. :)

  • Hi, I'm new to Eugene and this tribe. I'd like to help with these types of projects. I have lots of gardening experience and I'm comfortable with simple building tools and painting.
    Peace,

      sandra,
great! would you like to meet for coffee to collaborate? sweet life is very good.
the next phase of this neighborhood repair project is to build [and paint!] two rope swings. we will need to gather two sturdy pieces of wood for seats and drill large holes in them, then find some rope. i have some starter paint colors. the craft center might have a drill attachment if no one in the community has one to lend. a couple of hours tops, sometime in the next week or two? i'll post on the permaculture guild list for materials.
      :) jadene
